Los tres ojos

For the last couple of weeks in sociales class we have been studying hydrology in the Dominican Republic. As part of the class my sociales teacher, Mr. Bautista decided that it would be a great idea to do a field trip so we could see an underground river. We went to los tres ojos, los tres ojos are three open air underground caves with lakes, this lakes are fed with an underground river. When we got there it was amazing, everything looked so beautiful, it was really breathtaking. This field trip helped me realize how beautiful nature is and how ungrateful we are as Dominicans for never appreciating what God gave to us. My favorite part of the field trip was when Tarzan jumped into one of the lakes, even though we had to pay him 500 pesos. Tarzan is the only person authorized to get into the lakes. My least favorite part of the trip were all the stairs, it made me realize how out of shape I am and that I need to exercise more. It was a great experience and even better that I got to share it with my classmates.
